Who needs to win the lottery when you have a heart of gold and humour to boot?

Well, one man has proven you can have it all! Michael Singh* from Calamvale, Queensland has just received the call of his life, all while entertaining staff listening in at the Foundation with his winning personality.

Picking up the phone this morning, to our Operations Specialist Amanda, Michael didn’t miss a beat. “I am doing excellent Amanda; do you want me to buy more tickets?”

“Well, that is wonderful you are having a good day and we would love you to continue to support us and purchase tickets, but that is not the reason for the call.” Responded Amanda.

“Don’t tell me I won, or something like that?!” Before she could tell him the good news, Michael was off championing the cause, “You have got to be in it to win it and Surf Lifesaving is the difference, it's also helping the lifesavers. And if I win, well, why not I’ll take that as well.”

Little did Michael know that he was actually on the line because he was the winner of a property package valued at $2.1M on Maroochydore, in the Sunshine Coast.

The home features four bedrooms, two-point-five bathrooms, two living spaces, and an inviting plunge pool overlooking the canal and comes fully furnished with $166,735 worth of furniture and electricals.

Throughout the humorous phone call, Michael's good heart shone through. “I am 50 now, so I am in the middle of life. I trying to bring my wife and children over here to Australia. I am comfortable enough that I can support myself, but this is just going to bring us such a big boost."

“I am so grateful that I can now contribute to others as well. There are no words to express. I am thrilled. I cannot find enough words to be grateful.”
