Wanda SLSC was established in 1946 after World War II by a group of returned servicemen and Army Red, Air Force Blue and Navy Blue were adopted as the club colours. Wanda has grown its membership to 1200+ male and female members ranging from 5yr old Nippers to 90+ years to the original Founding Members. Our Wanda lifesavers give more than 9,500 hours a season to help protect our beachgoers on weekends and public holidays from September to April. Our heroes dress in red and yellow, volunteer their time and put their lives at risk every time they go on patrol to help keep us and our families safe. To allow the lifesaving work of our volunteers to continue, we need your support. Every dollar donated allows for us to provide vital rescue equipment, provide world-class rescue education and help keep the beach a safe and happy memory making place for our community.
