Meet Deborah, a charitable woman who, just a month ago, signed up for our cause as a $50 Champion Club member. Her family is at the heart of everything she does. Wanting the best for her five children, she joined Surf Lottery in support of the cause, eager for her kids to be part of this movement.

During her bustling workday at the distribution centre, she received a life-changing call. Rushing into one of the meeting rooms, Deborah ushered people out to answer the phone.

Initially engrossed in conversation, Deborah shared the reasons for her support and spoke about the busy Christmas period at her work. Unaware that this phone call was anything more than a sales pitch, she hadn’t fathomed the possibility of a monumental win on the horizon.

Our Operations Specialist, Amanda, soon delivered the unexpected winning news. Ticket number #8199097, Deborah's ticket, was drawn for our major prize this morning, making Deborah an instant millionaire with a $2.1M prize package.

As the news sank in, emotions overwhelmed her, tears beginning to flow. “There have been so many tough years for so many people. My husband and I have been tirelessly working to support our family,” Deborah expressed, her voice quivering. “I cannot find words to express my gratitude. Is this the home on the Sunny Coast? I have tickets for that one and Bribie too,” she exclaimed in disbelief.

Amanda confirmed this was, in fact, the Sunshine Coast home, located on the tranquil Maroochydore canals, valued at $1.9M. The home comes fully furnished with $213,755 worth of furniture and electricals, as well as $10,000 gold bullion included with the major prize.

Additionally, as a $50 Champion Club member, Deborah will also take home an additional $50K bonus prize, an unexpected cherry on top of an already incredible win for her.
